About Patricia Damery
Patricia Damery is an author, a Jungian analyst in consultation in Napa, California, and a member of the C. G. Jung Institute in San Francisco. Her life has been about seeking the divine in everyday life and is reflected in her writing. Patricia’s writing concerns remembering instinct, becoming more conscious not only of our personal psyche, but of our relationships to the animate and inanimate world as well. She believe this necessitates a shift in consciousness, “re-membering” an older way while also valuing our intellect, and that this shift is critical to the survival of life as we know it.
Patricia Damery is a Jungian analyst in consultation in Napa, California, where she and her husband also farm a Demeter certified Biodynamic organic ranch growing grapes, raising goats, and growing and estate distilling lavender and other aromatic plants.
She grew up on small farm in the Midwest in a culture that no longer exists, early on experiencing the pull of spirit of place. Most of her writing concerns the lively experience of spirit of place. This involves being more conscious not only of the personal psyche, but of our relationship to the animate and inanimate world as well. It necessitates a shift in consciousness, a “re-membering” of an older, more open-hearted approach to the natural world and to each other, while also valuing intellect, a shift critical to the survival of life as we know it.
Her professional writing often offers a Jungian lens on biodynamics as she practices it on her ranch, bridging the work of Carl Jung and Rudolf Steiner. Although she no longer practices psychotherapy and analysis, she does consultation around practice and spiritual issues.
