One of the easiest ways to begin cooking with lavender is to use these cooking stems (fire sticks) in grilling. Soak them in water and then use them in a clay pot with garlic and other herbs to bake chicken or use soaked stems on the coals when grilling meats. The stems have less essential oil, so if you are just acquiring a taste for lavender, you will not overdose yourself or your guests!  Use lavender in any recipe that calls for rosemary.
