Honey Lavender Limeade

Honey Lavender Limeade

June is a great month for a new lavender limeade recipe, and this is a preview!  We will be running a special this week on loose flowers, but here’s a preview of a delicious and healthier, less sweet version of our famous lavender limeade.

We use a pyrex pot to infuse the water with the lavender and lime zest. Try this, perhaps experimenting with the amount of lime and honey. These quantities are designed to be used with copious ice, just right for a hot afternoon!

Honey Lavender Limeade

Heat 2 cups of water, 1/4 cup of dried lavender flowers and the zest of a lime to boiling. Turn off heat and allow to infuse water for 30 minutes. Strain into blender and add one cup of orange blossom honey or other light honey. Blend until honey is dissolved. Add the juice of seven limes and four cups of water, and serve on ice.
