The Biodynamic Association website has a new feature in which we farmers, growers, processors and producers are featured more fully. It is a useful tool for those looking for biodynamic products or ingredients.When you peruse the site, it is amazing how many biodynamic products are coming online. Republic of Tea now has a biodynamic tea!
Take a look at the site and consider purchasing from these farms and companies. Each page also lists venues which carry the product. It is another of those small steps we each can take everyday toward healing the earth. Biodynamic certification entails rigorous examination of growing, processing, and producing practices. Not only are harmful chemicals not allowed, but practices aimed at restoring balance required.
For us the grower this involves including animals in our farming operation, developing the individuality of our ranch, and increasing biodiversity. As processors we are required to look at everything we do, including the packaging and the use of fossil fuels.
