Lessons in Biodynamic Goat Keeping
Despite all the theory and spiritual discipline that Biodynamic agriculture offers, there is always the practical to consider, and goats are good reminders. Lesson: always keep a goat busy doing what you want the goat to do. Otherwise, the goat will make the determination herself.
Goats need a project. Last week their project centered around the demolition of an architurally designed dog house they love to jump on in various queen-of-the-mountain games and to sit in during the hot hours of the day.

This morning, with their careful supervision, Ramon and I returned the house to its former foundation (what was left of it was upside down 20 feet down the hill), rebuilt what they had pried apart with their handy horns, and stabilized it.
