This short YouTube film shows the importance of soil building in sequestering carbon (in carbon dioxide) and slowing and/or stopping global warming. Inspiring in its four minute message, it also lacks detail, like what would it mean to increase organic matter by 1.6%? Everywhere?
Nevertheless it brings up how important becoming conscious of what builds humus, or organic matter in the soil, is. Composting is also something we each can do for our back yards, our gardens, our earth. (Consider including the Biodynamic barrel compost and compost preps, and you have a much more powerful humus building situation!)
