In March and April, I schedule our biodynamic sprays for the season using Maria Thun’s Sowing and Planting Calendar.
In the spring we spray the aromatics with horned quartz (“501”) three times on moon sign flower days, once each in Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius. The grapes and orchard, and most of the garden, we spray three times with the “BC prep” on fruit days: Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius. (In the fall, we reverse this. More later!)
I also schedule the fermented equisetum tea spray on the new and full moons.
I write the spray, moon sign, plant to be sprayed, and date on a post-it and place it on the larger work calendar. Of course, rain changes everything! This month may well involve some rescheduling.
