Budbreak
Yesterday Ramon asked that the goats no longer walk through the vines as the buds have swollen into white fuzzy bulblike balls and will be unfolding within the day into tiny leaves (delicacies to a goat).
The last two days we have sprayed a sequence of biodynamic preparations: barrel compost and BD 500 (horned manure), or earth sprays, on Tuesday evening; BD 501(horned silica) and 508 (fermented equisetum tea), solar sprays, early yesterday morning. All were done in a leaf or water moon sign, which increases moisture, which we need this year.
So begins the growing season.
